Mother

This is a pretty old piece. it remains true, though. It was from my “little girl’s” viewpoint.

MOTHER

Yes it was your responsibility
Which you did with all your ability
Each time I lay to sleep
Your eyes were all so wide to keep.

You took every measure
To see I had pleasure
Even when I flopped
You never stopped.

You always encouraged
And I knew it wasn’t staged
Yes, you did your best
Without taking any rest.

Thank you, mother
And never bother
All your spent effort
Would produce the best henceforth.
